Meet Scott DeVizio! Scott is joining the EGR team as a Drafter & Engineer.
Scott has worked in the woodworking industry since he was a teenager. At 17, he worked at an architectural wood mill in New York operating industrial machinery. Shortly after, Scott attended Dutchess Community College where he received an AAS in Architecture and Construction Technologies. During his studies, Scott worked part time as a laborer for a residential construction company where he assisted in home building and millwork. In his spare time, he also created hand drawings of custom hardwood products, such as doors, and built the products according to his prints.
In 2000, Scott started his career in the casework industry. He worked on the shop floor where he specialized in building die-walls, operating the CNC and saw equipment, and working on equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Five years later, he moved into drafting full time after learning AutoCAD and 3D drafting on nights and weekends. With 15 years of drafting experience, Scott relocated from New Mexico to join the EGR team in mid 2020.
Much of Scott’s success and skills are due to his determination, intelligence, and initiative. His appetite for learning and hands on work goes beyond drafting and woodworking. In 1996, he became a certified Harley Technician. As part of this hobby, he brings decades of mechanical and electrical experience to the table.
